THE
BIGGEST BLUES EVENT OF THE SUMMER will be the Jus` Blues Music Awards
Show. The 2008 Jus` Blues Music Awards Show has announced
an August 7th date and a new Memphis, TN location. Founder and
President Charles Mitchell says, "for six years the Awards Show
has been a success in Atlanta, Georgia. Last summer, the show
was bigger and even better in Memphis at the Historical Daisy on world
famous Beale Street, known as the center for African-American culture
and entertainment and fun. The event is to honor and showcase some
of America's finest African-American Blues & Soul music talents
that don't get their just due from the publicity of the mainstream
awards shows like the Grammy Awards, the American Music Awards or
the MTV Awards shows."
This
is the eighth annual event in thirteen years that the Jus`Blues Music
Awards has convened to honor the artists selected by the fans and
the Jus` Blues Music Awards Selection Committee. They are recognized
as a high honor by Blues & Soul music artists and industry professionals.
The production theme will magnify how some of the early Black Blues
artists got their songs recorded and promoted as they performed in
country juke joints and smoky lounges across America and around the
world. Hence opening the door of opportunity and influencing
many artists and musicians of today.
This year's Jus` Blues Music Awards Show will showcase some great
performances and will recognize the works of Blues & Soul music
veterans, including some very special awards for outstanding contributions
to the Blues & Soul music genre.
The
annual Jus` Blues Music Awards Show is saluting many other Blues &
Soul music over-achievers in various categories for their accomplishments.
